Microsoft Certified Partner First for 3Si

3Si is First in the Not For Profit Sector to Achieve Microsofts New Standard

Since it’s inception, 3Si has always been closely linked to Microsoft. It was one of the earliest Solution Providers and the first UK Company to offer a Windows based system to the Not For Profit Sector. In keeping with this, 3Si is proud to announce yet another first.

3Si has recently become the first organisation in the Not For Profit Sector to achieve Microsoft's ISV/Software Solutions Competency.

On the 5th April 2005, 3Si was informed by Microsoft of its success in gaining this award.

As well as continuing to have Microsoft Certified Professionals working within 3Si, to reach this competency, 3Si had it's Open Market Software fully assessed by Veritest, an independent testing services provider, appointed by Microsoft. Veritest thoroughly tried & tested the application and the architecture, which underpins Open Market for robustness, stability and its integration with Windows & Office.

Added to this, to complete the competency evaluation, Microsoft then sought separate independent assessments from a number of 3Si's customers, in order to judge the software working in a day-to-day operational environment and 3Si’s ability to deliver the solution effectively.

All tests and assessments were passed first time.

The competency evaluation has been developed by Microsoft to underpin the work they do in developing their software, by ensuring that Certified Partners use their products to provide business solutions that work to the same high standards.

“3Si has welcomed Microsoft’s new approach to appointing Certified Partners,” explains director Peter Sinclair. “The programme now recognises customer satisfaction, the ability to deliver good reliable solutions, to time and to budget in addition to measuring individuals’ knowledge via examinations. We are delighted to have been accredited with this award from Microsoft as it reaffirms our strategy of using the best tools to provide the best service to our customers”

“Our team and customers have known for many years about our ability to develop and deliver quality robust solutions and there is great satisfaction that we have, yet again, been assessed as “very competent” by Microsoft” enthused Peter Sinclair. “Our enthusiasm won’t stop here and we aim to continue to improve and our goal is to achieve Gold Partner status as soon as possible”

Glynn Henry, from Microsoft explained "It's very important to Microsoft that companies such as 3Si are committed to continually improving their knowledge and skills within our development environment, and in return, we are committed to help them build and strengthen their business"
