PBFA upgrades to Open Market 9.4


PBFA (Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association) is the latest customer to upgrade to 9.4 of Open Market.

The Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association was founded in 1974, with just 20 members. It was set up to provide provincial book dealers with a shop window in London by holding a regular book fair. More than a quarter of a century on they have over 630 members and organise around 100 book fairs a year. Most of their members are UK based but they also have members from North America, continental Europe and Australia.

PBFA has been a customer of Open Market since 1998 and has upgraded to OM 9.4 as a natural progression with the whole revamp of their IT strategy, including the revision of the web site.

PBFA utilises the core system, membership, events, Easiquery and Web tools. The web tools allow the members to self serve keeping their details and preferences up to date themselves. The tools also allows the members to book onto events and maintain their Membership directory details, all part of the PBFA strategy to provide a more interactive and relative association to their members.
